WLOP is a hobbyist digital artist based in China. He’s the creator of GhostBlade, DeadDreams, and Cloud Insect; all of which are his original series/works.
In his pieces, WLOP beautifully captures the essence of the character(s). Elaborate details are placed into one area—or areas—of focus, while the background and secondary subjects are composed of simple shapes and brush strokes.
One specific identifier is his unique way of portraying jewelry. At first glance, the metals and stones are only comprised of a few splotches of color. However, the simple detail and bright, saturated colors stand out brilliantly against darker and muted colors/backgrounds.
WLOP knows exactly how to capture the viewer's attention and mesmerize anyone who comes across his work.
